Términos de uso · CellCheck
Última actualización: 30 de octubre de 2026

Terms of use · CellCheck
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. What CellCheck is
CellCheck is a tool to review, after the dive, the O2 cell logs kept by Shearwater dive computers: millivolt output against ppO2, linearity, evolution across dives and the dive profile. By using the app you accept these terms.
2. For information only: not safety equipment
CellCheck is not a safety device or a medical device, it does not control the rebreather and it must not be used to decide whether a unit or a cell is fit to dive. Its calculations (linearity, slopes, ppO2 of each cell, warnings) are estimates based on the computer's data and on rule-of-thumb criteria, not the manufacturer's. The absence of a warning does not mean that a cell is fine. Always follow the calibration, pre-dive checks, maintenance and replacement intervals set by the manufacturers of your rebreather and of the cells, and your training.
3. No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind: not of the accuracy of the data or calculations, nor of compatibility with a given model or firmware version, nor of error-free operation. The manufacturer does not publish the communication protocol or the log format; they were taken from public documentation and may stop working after a computer update.
4. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damage arising from the use of the app or from being unable to use it, including diving decisions made from its data. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under applicable consumer protection law or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
5. Your data
How your data is handled is explained in the privacy policy. Your dives are only on your phone: to keep them, make copies with "Export dives".
6. Trademarks
Shearwater, Petrel, Perdix and Teric are trademarks of Shearwater Research Inc. CellCheck is an independent project: it is not affiliated with, approved or sponsored by Shearwater Research. The trademarks are mentioned only to say which equipment it works with.
7. License
CellCheck's code is distributed under the MIT license. You can read it, together with the third-party licenses, in Settings → Licenses.
8. Changes
These terms may change. The current version is always in the app and, if the change is important, the app will ask you to accept it again.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
